About 10 year's ago or so
A dolmar dealer told them to come get their *s-word
He had a pile of burned up saws and pissed customers
With the epoxied adjustment screws.
He was a low volume seller
So he stopped selling them.

The 5100 - 5105 is one of the few saws that I'd rather not mess with.

Biggest largemouth in the top center...caught that mf’r on a Tom Mann’s 10” black fire-tail jelly worm back in ‘76...I was 9 yrs old when I set the hook on his ass. It was like hauling in a damn Blue Marlin off the coast of Costa Rica...on a damn Lew’s Speed Stick fiberglass rod. He was giving it hell! Went in about waiste-deep to get that mouth with my hands. Mf’r ‘bout pulled my little scrappy ass into a little deeper water!

There are quite a few of those chassis out there for cheap. You gotta love them though. I do. Ignition parts and pistons are gold. The PTO side bearing is proprietary too. They're not a "build in bulk" saw for sure, and nobody will show up to a GTG swinging their dick with one. They sure can cut some firewood though.

@USMC615 any thoughts on sealing the lid?

I got the same model in black and was just thinking how to deal this thing today cooking for the MIL

anyone ever use the RTV method? Grease up the bottom and rtv the lid, then press it down and let it dry. The grease keeps it from sticking.

sounds like it should work
