well, I dont mind getting a SSD. Can you remember what model/type your Western Digital is? and is there need for a bios flash to make it work?Get a Western Digital SSD. It's what I run on both my PC's and Mac's.

My old Cheetah is SAS drive, use it own sas controller (adaptec 5805), I just wired up an sata drive to it and the controller found the drive asap. It looks as the cheetah drive is done!
Sadly I gotta install everything on a new drive, waste of time but I guess I gotta get it done.
Tor misses him most.No way.

thanks budThis is what's in my Win10 Lenovo. It is great! I don't remember if I needed to flash it or not. It works great. The one in my 2012 MacBook Air came with it, it's an older 512gb black WD drive and it is great. I'm thinking I had to flash my Mac but not the PC but it's been awhile. Are you running a PC or Mac, or other software like Linux?

I did a fast check, seems for me to be a great purchase, hopefully they have them locally if not I just have to order one. I’ll figure out what motherboard I have and flash the bios while waiting for the drive.
PC and win 10 is what I use.
