Big ol' women wear 12ee
Prolly the wrong one lmao. Now that’s using that noodle...
I’ve had the same pair last a few years...well made boots and fairly comfortable. Those Thorogoods look nice, the upper left in the pic is my style. We don't have those with the company chosen suppliers.
I'll buy a couple pair of Georgia's or whatever if you want to sell some. All mechanics on the flightline get a pair of steel toe boots or shoes every year compliments of Uncle Sugar. Mechanics get a chit, last year was $130 to each, anything over you pay the difference. Many brands to choose from and Timberlands do suck.
I’ve got six or seven brand new pairs of steel toe boots in their original boxes...Georgia Boot, Carhart, etc, etc 12D and 12E in my bedroom closet now that have never even seen the hangar concrete floors. Should probably gift a pair or two this holiday season in the holiday thread or put ‘em up in any future raffles.
Herman Survivors was all we wore hunting, etc back in the 70's/80's. And you're correct...all three of those mfg'rs went to *s-wordt years ago.I'll buy a couple pair of Georgia's or whatever if you want to sell some.
Herman survivors, wolverine, rocky all went to *s-word
I used to get year's from a pair now month's.
Hermans in particular. They were great in the 80's.Herman Survivors was all we wore hunting, etc back in the 70's/80's. And you're correct...all three of those mfg'rs went to *s-wordt years ago.
Mostly because there weren't many popular manufacturers of waterproof winter boots back then I think. With the invention of Gore Tex, heavier rubber kinda fell by the waysideYou know Sorel used to make some damn good 12, 14, 16" insulated, waterproof boots back in the 70's/80's as well. I'm sure they're still doing their thing, just don't hear much about them anymore. I have no clue as to whether the quality of them/otherwise went in the *s-wordter like so many others nowadays that were damn good boots back in those days.
Don't quote me on this series/type of Sorels, it's been so damn long...but I think they were the Kamik 5 series back in the late 70's/early 80's that I had...both pairs were a two-tone green/dark green. They were the cat's meow back then...no cold nor no wet feet.I had a pair of Sorel pack boots back.in the 80's. My feet were never wet or cold...ever!
That's a good point...Mostly because there weren't many popular manufacturers of waterproof winter boots back then I think. With the invention of Gore Tex, heavier rubber kinda fell by the wayside
