A girl here at work hit a deer on the highway a couple nights ago then she got hit by a semi truck. Her kids were in the car and at least one didn't make it, possibly both. She's in real bad shape also is what I'm told. No details in the paper so there may be more to it. Either way it's one hell of a tragedy.

Son Jared’s big ol’ jet airliner flight from Washington state was delayed a little but he’s in the air now, heading back to GA. Has a 2-hr layover in Denver, then onto Atlanta non-stop. Not a bad one-way price from one side of the country to the other...$122 bucks. His mother will pick him up around midnight EST in Atlanta, get a hotel and crash for the night, and head 100 miles south down I-75 sometime tomorrow morning. I’ll catch up with him tomorrow after work.

For that same $122, I couldn’t make it driving from mid-GA to Memphis in that gas-huffing Dodge MegaCab 4x4 with that HEMI.
