There's a guy that lives around here that has a bad azz Baja bug. It has a two liter motor and custom suspension. He had it at the show yesterday. I'll get some pics of it next time I see him.

This is Dave's. I'm not sure on all the specs, but I know he's dropped around 9-10k in the drive train and it use to wheelie but now it just busts them loose.

Looks like a fun rail. It's crazy how the prices have gone up to build a motor for one.

Hell I think the trans cost almost as much as the motor. I remember him saying the power damn near doubled or something like that. I can tell ya it doesn't sound like a VW at idle anymore.

They had a mild 1776 at the show yesterday for $5,000. I didn't even look at the trans they had.

I used to know a kid who took the entire front k frame out of honda car, bolted the entire thing to the rear of a custom go kart frame. It was pretty ridiculous and stupid fast. Entire engine, transaxle and lower control arms, swapped over the computer and everything.

When we were young I helped my buddy cut the front frame off of a '69 Olds Toronado with the W-30 455 and transaxle. Permanently locked the steering then married it to the back of an ugly 60 something Dodge van with a chopped top. Thing was stupid crazy, one second looking at the road the next the clouds. Lol

My only Volkswagen story is after my Father wrapped his '57 Chevy around a telephone pole he bought a Super Beetle in '67 took it out west on vacation with my mom and next spring out I came. So it's possible that I got shot in, inside of a Beetle Bug. Lol
