My problem is that I have now outward symptoms. I could drink any I wanted and it would just silently shorten my life, without any of the immediate symptoms.

Similar deal here Gary. Although I do have noticable symptoms. Feels like I got the flu, but also messes with the absorption of nutrients.

Essentially that is what Celiac is all about. Gluten can’t be processed by the body and ends up blocking the nutrients the body needs from getting absorbed. Eventually the body wastes away.

So call it shortens your life then...

While you are at it Gunner, look up lectins. They are often associated with gluten. Let's jut say they are a plant's way of saying "GFY human".
