Morning pecker heads. Buddy of mine that i have worked side by side for the last 15 years retired today.

Very happy for him, but makes me depressed. Tough to find someone to work with 12 hrs a day and not bump heads. We got along very well and enjoyed work as much as possible

Hope everyone is doing well, haven’t been online much lately....

I've not checked my mail for a week, got the chance to pay the first bill for da house.

I meant she's skipping out on the house work.

A variation of “Hold my Kool Aid and watch this!”

Feeling better staying away from the gluten. So many things have wheat .

Glad to have some bread I can eat. It's good.View attachment 196457

I'm with ya I'm headed out sometime today.

Glad you found something you like. Just read ingredients on everything. I don't know how bad your sensitivity is and you likely won't either for a quite a while. Get it out of your system and you will find out how strick you really have to be by sampling a few other things.

Omission Lager out of Oregon is the best Gluten Free beer I have had, can't get it up but have seen it as far east as Chi town. Glutenberg isn't worth the Auminum in the can...

Rice noodles are your friend but you have to be careful which ones. Typically if they are made in North America the mix wheat in the cheap bastiages... Sometimes the International or Ethnic isles are the best places to shop. How far are you from a Whole Foods? I wish we had one here... If you / your other bake try and track down some Mehl's flour. They are a GF Bakery in Fargo, ND and offer their flour for resale/ wholesale. Real nice stuff and their bakd goods our the best.

That's lame. we have at least 2 or 3 more weeks for ours. We've kept it as late as Mid October some years if the weather was decent.

Meant to post this over here...

I have missed keeping up with you M'fers this week.

Trip was crazy busy and no parties to share hot babe pics from so you didn't miss much.

Drake is no longer our puppy. After multiple attacks on Tamara and one on Elliott while I was away Tamara made the difficult decision to surrender him back to the rescue. Initially one of the rescue staff said only recourse was to have him put down but Tamara wasn't willing to let that happen. Finally after much conversation with a different person at the rescue they agreed that he probably needed a new home without kids and someone with more experienced with aggressive dogs.

We've made the decision that to try and turn this sequence around that we aren't going to try another rescue dog. We are biting a huge bullet and finally getting her the labradoodle she's always wanted.

It just so happens that a breeder that Tamara has been following and talking to for 5 years had 2 recent litters that were twice the size she expected. For the first time I ever remember looking at her website she has some dogs that aren't reserved ahead of time. We went and played with puppies yesterday and will likely be bringing one home in about a month.

Now just need to figure out how to pay for it. Will likely be putting a few things up for sale that I don't need to try and ease the pain.

What kind of dog was Drake?

Unknown "Northern Mix" looked like he had some Schnauzer in him but without DNA testing ($350) we had no way of knowing. Was born in a pound up North and was the last of the litter not adopted up there, was about to be put down with the rescue brought him to the city.

We don't have any Whole Foods either, just something to keep in mind when you travel. More and more options are appearing in stores all the time. Best thing is to find Gluten Free in the normal sections, way cheaper than the specialty isle. Corn, rice and beans don't have gluten, eggs don't have gluten. Meat doesn't have gluten, bacon doesn't have gluten.

It is never as dim as you think.
