Got an 8500 now as well. Same power head but with some improvements to the chassis to keep the ham fisted happy.

Thank you Sir!I've never tried it but here's one BS did some time ago. I think I'd cut the self tapping threads down and try to run a thread die over the stud. Clamping the rubber might be a trick. I think I'd drill a hole in a piece of hardwood, saw it up the middle and clamp the rubber in that and try to re-thread the stud. Not sure if the stud would rotate out or not.
