What kind is it that sticks to the plastic? I've had trouble with the kind I have falling off

Its just that Duct work tape. I wash them really good in the parts wash then give them a good wipe down with acetone. It seems to stay on purrty good.

I want to try some of the good reflective tape from DEI but that stuff isn't cheap.
I know Mr. Gasket makes some too.

How did the heat shield fit on the cut down barrel?
If I remember right the trench/ riot barrels where straight and the standard barrels had a taper to them. Or are there aftermarket ones that fit the tapered take down 97/12 guns?
I believe the M97 and M12 used the same heat shield on them through out there run in service.

That I'm not sure about other than I had to file a groove on the barrel under each screw that pinch it tight. I didn't have to beat it on but it is a snug fit.
