I wish I could say the morning is going well but...

At work now and having issues with my computer. Seems the keyboard on laptop is fried. On the phone with our IT department and of course I get the dumbest one...

I hope all you guys are doing alright.

Steve I am sorry for your snow, we'll be 65 by afternoon with chance of thunder showers...
Good morning Gary

Steve likes snow

Just wonderful this time of year.

Hey chain guys

A buddy is wanting me to order a roll of 404 skip chain. My supplier only offers it in full chisel.

This chain will go on his 3120 with a 50 and 60" bar along with his 394 that he has a 24, 32 and 36" bar.

Will the full chisel be to "aggressive"? He says he wants semi.

Best to look elsewhere and find what he likes. Even if it means going to Bailey's or the like. Try asking Ice Pick.

Good morning Steve how are you today

Good enough I reckon, how did your day go Mr. Todd?

Either would be fine Ross. Semi will last longer than Chisel. But a guy can convert Chisel to square and be just as durable as semi.

You get that many drivers, you definitely want skip chain unless you want to spend all day sharpening

Normally I sharpen all his chains.

He found a local shop that charges $5 a chain for his big bars.

When he bought that 3120 and 72" bar from DDAVE at the GTG this summer I told him not to be expecting me to sharpen those chains....

That's insane. No way I could stay afloat doing that. I'm $6 up to an 18". Then depending on the condition of the chain I charge .08-.10 a dl after.

It takes time to sharpen and do rakers right. I'm not going to give up my free time for nothing

This shop does it to give the local Stihl dealer that's crookeder than Dallas's pecker a big F-you.

They do it to get guys in their door away from the Stealership
