That's way over my pay grade. I bought it at a farm sale for 300 bucks. Cut the barrel and added all reproduction goodies. I could have just got the Chinese repo complete but that kinda goes agin the grain

How did the heat shield fit on the cut down barrel?
If I remember right the trench/ riot barrels where straight and the standard barrels had a taper to them. Or are there aftermarket ones that fit the tapered take down 97/12 guns?
I believe the M97 and M12 used the same heat shield on them through out there run in service.

Hey chain guys

A buddy is wanting me to order a roll of 404 skip chain. My supplier only offers it in full chisel.

This chain will go on his 3120 with a 50 and 60" bar along with his 394 that he has a 24, 32 and 36" bar.

Will the full chisel be to "aggressive"? He says he wants semi.

I have only used for chisel RS stihl I personally swear by it ,you need to keep it touched up to maintain the edge though just my 2 cents worth

Is RS full or semi?

I've never paid any attention to chain. I primarily run Carlton and order full chisel unless I find a deal on other brands of chain or semi chisel.
