I don't think I'm going to go home until Lisa gets home tonight...

Last night Lisa asked if I could empty the deep fryer. So I went out back into the woods.

We were in the back yard last night and hadn't seen the dog for a while. We called her and out of the woods she came:facepalm: face all greasy....

Question for those of you that run saws way more than I..

Is it normal to have to knock a link or two out of a chain as it wears out? I was touching up a loop of RS this morning and while cleaning out around the clutch on my 372 I noticed that I am nearing the end of the adjuster slot in the bar. Oregon bar.. 84DL. Now I often go 2-3 tanks with out a touch up.. I'm pretty particular on my chains and filing a rocked out chain or 10 will make a man watch where that tip goes! I'm thinking if it was getting touched up every tank or other tank... the cutters would disappear faster and not be an issue. Oiler is maxed out and the bar hole opened up.. I keep the bars lubed. Just looking for others thoughts experiences.

I've never had to shorten a chain. Could you have a mix up between chains?

Have you been using the same bar? Or is a different one?
I know Dad has gotten a few Husky bars for his 550 and he had to knock out a link after awhile. He now has a Oregon bar on it and them chains are damn near to short.
