My brothers were in a bit of a panic when I drove them out onto the lake in an ex-squad car. They were in the back seat, no door handles, no window cranks. It was a hoot for us in front.

7-8 years ago on the lake 3 snowmobiles hit open water in the middle of the lake at night. One sunk and drowned almostimmediately. One saw what was happening and turned soon enough that he only went across a couple hundred feet of open water. The third gunned it and went some ridiculous distance (like a half mile or more) over the water.

No thanks, I'll stick to the trails or edge of the lake.

I see guys take sleds across water, that does look like fun in the summer.

But trying to find the hole in the ice that you just went down in.... Yea that sucks and isn't something I ever want to do again.
