Put the 246 into wome wood today. Variety of Oak, Sweet Gum and Maple. Ran a 20” .325 0.050 on it it powered through everything including double cuts on 28” Oak. Fun little bugger. A buddy of the shop owner ran it and couldn’t believe it was a 45cc saw, he is now a prospective buyer. I should have taken vids of Randy and the other guy running it. As long as you kept the RPMs up it had NO problem with big wood. I think 18” .325 0.050 would be best but I only had a 20” on hand. Very impressed with this little guy. I did some port work, opened up the stock muffler and swapped in a Husqy 51 carb.
