Told Mum I want a 20v impact.
Don't let the voltage debacle sway you from a preferred brand. There are 5 cells inside 18 and supposed 20 volt battery packs. Max 4.2v each, nominal 3.7v each. Just depends on how they wanna measure voltage. Unless it's the double sized pack. Those have 10 batteries 2p × 5s. Same voltage, but last twice as long.

Bottom line: buy your preferred brand, or the one with more torque, not whether it's rated 18 or 20v

I got the 18v Dewalt because I have two drills and four batteries. Impact only no battery on ebay was cheap!

Straw poll folks......Xmas...Big into it...or... "Ba Humbug " not into .

It's hit or miss for me. I love the season and I hate it.

I love it because the kids love it. I love getting together with certain people.

I hate it because of POS extended family and having to see people who I wouldn't bother pissing on if they were on fire

I told Lisa that I don't want or need anything. I spent a fair amount on her and we are really trying to save funds for a vehicle for me in the next year or so, along with saving up for schooling that I'll probably be having to take.

I just got Lisa tickets to the Trans Siberian Orchestra this week.

I also got her a med bag and filled it so she can keep it in her car. There has been multiple times where she runs a medical call and is closer to the call than the department. But seeing she had no supplies she'd have to either goto the department and ride with the medical truck, or wait on scene for the medical truck.
I gave it to her early and she's already out it into good use a few times.

What brand of impact driver are you looking at? I have a bunch of Ridgid stuff, so I bought an 18v 1/4" impact to match. It works, but not as powerful as some others seem. It won't remove a clutch that's been run for long. Just wondering if some brands are more powerful, or if I need to go to a 3/8 impact instead
