I have a good feeling about this weekend. Wife n kids are leaving around 4:00 am and headed to the cottage till Tuesday night sometime.
I'm gonna have the whole house to myself. I've got lots of stuff I should do. Whether or not I actually do them is another story.

I don't think Mom whipped me enough.

I ate many a bars of dial soap when younger, heck or darn it, my mom considered a swear word, she'd grab a bar and wash my foul mouth out. I never got used to the taste...

Dad was the one who used the leather belt, "you just wait until your father gets home" seems like we heard that daily.

Mom used a flyswatter. If the end came off, to bad. She wasn't stopping.
Dad used about an 18" long piece of an old leather cow collar.
The flyswatter stayed on top the fridge and the collar hung on the back of the office door.
