Last Friday I was shutting down the shop and turn off all the Gas. I didn't realize one of the guys still had one of are robots running......he wasn't to happy with me.
I told him thats what he gets for working up to the bell.
It sucks with the machines. 300 amps can push porosity a half inch deep. No fun in. A 4" deep groove having to use a 14" chopsaw wheel on a grinder

Just going to put this here for you guys to discuss. Apparently the kids around here think this is the cool thing to do with a truck, "Carolina Slant." Snatch a leaf out of the rear and crank the torsion bars high... that truck has nothing in the bed.

I think its a disgrace to the truck.

Does that make me cool?

I fixed the shock mount after it broke:D

They did that out in the West forever. Dune runner style.

My night

You are truly a artist in what you do Mike. The cool part is, I bet you could lay a bead like that with no machine too.

BTW, have you ever made contact with Virgil? I am worried about that guy

wouldn't take you long to clean out the pig pens with one of those.

We pump our pits, no scraping like a dairy farm.
The good about that- It's not a daily chore to get rid of manure
The bad- That means we have no use for a skid steer on the farm. I really want a skid steer but I have no way to justify getting one.

I'd use a excavator to get rid of evidence when I don't get my coffee in the morning.

My dads answer for getting skid steer years ago was " I can buy you a lot of pitch forks for what one of them cost".

How many animals do you guys have Ross?

We only have 500 sows, market about 11,000-12,000 a year. Which is a extremely small operation for today's standards.

Today a small hog farm is considered around 1500-2000 sows

You guys have any Goat farms around by you?
There have been a few older dairy farms around me that are converting the barns to milk Goats. I never knew there was that big of a market for goat milk.
