I just shined up the 40 year old pig roaster tonight (powerwasher and flat black) and loaded it on a trailer for a friend's daughter's graduation open house. Can't wait for Saturday afternoon

ive been out of bacon for a while. outta pork steaks and chops for a couple weeks.....so i cant wait either. I tried going back to grocery store pork. But it aint the same. im spoiled now.

We never round bailed. And now we sell it all to them goofy horse people.
There's a guy that buys 3 semi loads every winter and halls it down around Chicago area.

Dad sold hay the last few years to a guy with a bobcat and 35' 5th wheel. Guy drove like 8 hours each way to fill his own trailer with 16 or 18 bales. Musta been good stuff. Idk

I just want to say, God bless all you Farmers that work hard to feed the masses. You guys are severely underpaid for the hard work you do. Most people don't even think about where their food comes from when they buy it in a grocery store.

Most don't even care and make fun of farmers, Shows their ignorance in biting the hand that feeds them. My hats off to you guys, no matter what you grow or raise. without you we would all starve to death. This boy will never forget it either.

When I was a teenager I helped a guy farm soy beans, This guys arms was big as my thighs. he was not fat either. one of the strongest guys I have ever seen. He had a wonderful personality. Of course I had to be a good kid, I was dating his daughter. I learned a lot about farm life then, he had to be a mechanic and all kinds of things to keep everything running smooth.

Wasn't like a city slicker and take everything that breaks to the shop. He fixed it himself. He had an Old steel wheeled Case tractor that just sat in the yard. It ran to. It had a crank to start it on the front. I couldn't even turn it over.lol I drove a john deere and a another case tractor for him. we worked all day in the heat. he didn't have no Ac cabs or heaters either.

He was a good man and had a good family, I often think about the life I would have led if I had married his daughter. Probably be a lot stronger and smarter than I am today.lol

Someone please tell me what those kardashians ever did to get popular and on TV, they don't sing or act. what do they do but get ass lifts to attract basketball players.

You have to enjoy doing it! I'm going to be 37 in a few days and can only think of a few guys around my age that are farmers...and out of those few after there dad hangs it up I really don't think that they will be farming.
I'm north of Pittsburgh about a hour and all around me there growing house.... It's hard to see house in field i once worked..

That's what has happened around here, this area was all farmland years ago. when the older guys died off the kids were too lazy to farm it and sold it for housing developments.
