I've heard you don't even need the ballist. I guess? Do you just wire straight to 115v? And use existing fixture?

There are 8' fluorescent to led retro fit kits. No ballast. About $75 each. I opted for 100w led warm light floods. $19 each

I just started with all new 40$ 4ft led fixtures. Instead trying to retro fit the old 4 bulb I had planned on using..
