Those are in sand mode. Seriously, we do it all the time.
The cleats gather sand rather than splitting it and looking for dry ground, of which there is none in deep sand.

Or they're just on the wrong way, because Georgia.

Georgia is pretty sandy in places.

Can't tell from just a top view, but they look like chanterelle. They're growing from the ground and not that stick, right? Pick one and if the ridges under the cap extend down onto the stem and they peel like string cheese I'd fry em up if I were there, but please don't just from my internet ID.

Sadly, after that shroom expert died from picking the wrong one, I kinda been on that side of the fence, so the assessment is fair. If he hadn't just happened to pick that one from the harvest he had, I easily could have the next day when I was supposed to have a dinner of them. I want to say they were morels, and a look alike got snuck in there.
Yes, I hate what I can't enjoy.

I absolutely love fresh shrooms from the store. I can only imagine how some of the wild ones that are delicacies would be.

I've had these birch boltes in my basket two years in a row. I still haven't tried them, because I'm just not 100% on the ID. Maybe this year will be the year.

I did just get some shroom coffee to try out, not sure if it is a good one or not, goes by the name of Ryze.

I was listening to Paul Stamets on Rogan this morning. I never knew morels were poisonous until cooked. He also said something about the off gas during cooking being poisonous and to do so in a ventilated area.

Funny, I was checking that out on my drive up too. Stamets is great. He was talking about false morels. Gyromitra I believe, even though he didn't name it. Those are so crazy. From totally safe to you better cook the fück out of me before you eat me. I don't .

Yeah, but live in an upside world anyway so I would expect tractor tires to be mounted backwards there.

I actually did a bit of reading because of the sandy soil in the pictures but found little information on that for us. Most of reverse tread mounting is to allow you to back out of mud and loose dirt and not get stuck as easy. Some only mount one tire backwards since you typically have a wheel that is more prone for the power to be directed to it in reverse, unless you lock the differential together.
