I also bought this little turd from tje next door neighbor for 5 hundie.
Cleaned all the water out of the fuel system, new fuel line, settling bowl, and fuel filter. New fan belt. Purged the air out, and she runs pretty good! Starts right up. Lift and pto do things. Clutch seems ok ish.
Gonna sort out the trashed wiring, fix the front tires, and call it gooder enough.

Evening humpers-of-knuckles.

Was working on the ole backhoe today...
Let me back up. So, i bought a backhoe just before Thanksgiving last year.
Then Bosslady got really sick and you know how that turned out.
So now im working my way through that project. Mid 1970s-ish JD410.
Runs like a top. Starts IMMEDIATELY above 50°F. Trans seems good. Clutch. Hydraulic pump has great pressure. Tires are in really good shape. Boom hasnt been broken and welded on, so its got a lot of good points, but....
Previous owner was unaware of a tool we like to refer to as a "grease gun". Some of yall may know what these are, and may also know what happens when they arent used....🤦
Water pump rear bearing is out. I was expecting a new one today, but i think UPS lied to me.
Backhoe lever linkage Heim ends are sloppy AF. Im not paying JD what they want for them, so i improvised. Need to get some non finished 5/16" machine spacers to weld in for the lower link pins, and they should be more-gooder.

And a fine looking hoe she is!
Unlike @LAWN BOY you're not too ashamed to share the hoes you run around with

Those are real projects, respect!!

When the digger is done you have to go to Tennessee, dig some culverts for Randy.
Imagine him driving in the hayfield, then boom, there he is, stucked! Epic!!!

I could go "help" with some "drainage issues" Tor.😉😆
Biggest problem would be accidentally digging up all that money hes hid out there.😁🤣

Gonna swap the rears side-to-side? My OCD kicked in immediately when I saw that.

Ill add this and then im off to bed. Tomorrow is a school day...
So a couple of months ago, dads neighbor had a "maff miscalculation" with where the top of a rather large dead pine tree he was cutting would end up.
Turns out, it was directly on top of his golf cart that he'd just picked up from the shop the day before...
20250418_195236.jpg
So he was going to scrap it, which would have been the right thing to do....
Dad mentioned it, and of course i did the RIGHT thing....and picked it up for frees.😆🤦

Now what? Wait, i know a guy....20250522_170707.jpg
Yeah, ANOTHER project.
I dont even need another golf cart....but somebody might😁.

YES!!! FFS, its been bugging the chit out of me since i got it home!😆🤣🤣🤣
Those are in sand mode. Seriously, we do it all the time.
The cleats gather sand rather than splitting it and looking for dry ground, of which there is none in deep sand.

Or they're just on the wrong way, because Georgia.
