So...what was the verdict on the saw that took a cooling off swim?
Well, this morning he had another go at starting that swimming saw (rear handle ms151) it popped once but refused to do anything else 🤷‍♂️
He said he’s going to take it apart tomorrow,
I suggested we flush the crank with some fuel mix today (as it be buggerd if any rust starts to set in). But he thinks I will be ok so we didn’t…🤨
I also said I don’t want him to give me a box of wet parts.. asking if I can fix it.
I will hopefully I will get some pics, as it’s not everyday i see a chainsaw take a dive in a pond/lake

No. too big isn't necessarily better, as you have all that extra to heat up and if you use a ratio of degreaser with the water cost more to fill.
I put folded up old bath towels on the lid of mine, it helps to insulate and keep the heat in. Otherwise, just plop your parts in and turn it on, pretty easy. Also, if you run cylinders through a few cycles, it will de-carbon them to look nearly like new.
Good points Steve,
I was thinking 10l at first, but, for crank, cylinder, piston, carburetors, 4.5l will work great. 300x155x100mm.
I have good routines for crankcase and tank washing, it takes a little time that's all.
Start with 4.5l and in case I one day start permanently larger ultrasonic cleaner.

Its FINE. Those are "starter relief" zones. Saves on the brushes n stuffs...😬
Shoot, I've seen folks in WV missing more teeth than that, and they get along just fine! Course they gotta make a couple trips around an ear of corn to get it all
