So far. Yesterday my Dad got cortisone injections in his back to try to alleviate some of the pain he's been having in his legs. I texted him this morning to see if there was any improvement and he replied no pain in 1 leg, some in the other when he got up but that's gone now too.

Yeah, I doubt that too. My girls are skinny little things but eat like NFL linebackers.
Glad he's getting a little relief

Quick question fellas. I’m thinking about part time wrenching for a power equipment company here in Nashville. The shop manager asked what I was thinking for pay and I really have no idea. I almost went to work for one in Knoxville and it was flat rate 35 per billable shop hour. This guy talked like it would be hourly. I’m not a formally trained power equipment mechanic but I can think my way through most tasks. I have my own tools and I would clearly be dependable for the time I could work for them. I have worked on and repaired lots of mechanical stuff and engines since 2011. I have been a full time mechanic of some type 8 of the last 15 years. Just curious what’s you guys thoughts were? TIA!
What kind of equipment do they mostly do repairs on? What’s he paying other techs? I know around here, they don’t make enough for me to get out of bed, but that’s both co-ops. They make the same as the warehouse guys sitting on their tail half the day. Cox power is down a mechanic and had a sign up the other day. My curiosity got me so I asked him what they were paying for a non-certified tech. He said $15.00-$20.00 based on experience. They do almost 100% saws/trimmers/blowers now. If you add in having to do mowers and other 4 cycle equipment as well, I would think a little more than that. What’s their going shop rate?

Morning gentlemen. The kids are off on a youth retreat so it’s just the wife and I this weekend. Had dinner out last night on the way home and asked what she wanted to do today, “stay home and be lazy” was music to my ears after the week we’ve had! She picked up pink eye at school Monday and I’ve been wide open all week with 3 different projects in 3 different counties. Between early mornings and late evenings, I’m ready for a break! Have a good weekend.

It was a firefighters personal truck
Loaded with sirens and lights IMG_20250329_151541329.jpg
He spent the day tearing all that out
Must've been several hundred ft of wiring
Very well done all hidden.
We tried to get him to take it back
There's never been a Ford owned by our family since 1996 I had a f150IMG_20250329_033812648.jpg
I made a big ol' mess in stew form
Damn good.
