I recieved a questionable piece of mail yesterday. It was from The US Census Bureau.

You have been RANDOMLY selected to take an American Community Survey.
Your Response is required BY LAW
It is addressed to resident BTW.

So now I opened this packet Just to see what this was about, I love being threatened by an alledged govt. agency.

This "survey" was 49 pages of invasive questions.
Name, name of anyone in the house # of rooms etc. Then it went into some really questionable questions like name and address of my employer then what time i leave for work, how long it takes to get to work, how many people ride with me. Am i deaf, dumb or blind. Am i able to get to a doctors appointment? These questions were to be answered by everyone in the house. They want to know everything except Social security numbers.

Randomly? Under penalty of law?

Sound like a scam yet?

No one else on my street got this so i must be special.
The last thing is if i don't return this crap someone will come to my house to complete this survey.

So i am waiting with my camera, various implements of destruction and the neighbors pitbulls on call for emotional support
Sounds like you are an undocumented American 😂

I am one of them ‘fereners’ and while filling out my US citizenship application one of the questions was ‘Are you a habitual drunkard?’ How dare they 😁

Morning everyone. The saw shop is open and I already lost a Stihl brake spring that shot off somewhere in the garage.

Enjoy Saturday fellas!

Some of the questions ask if you have resided in other countries and what nationality you "identify" as.
No "Are you a US citizen" question. That would be insulting.

We are living through the stupidest time in all of human history.
And we are building energy sucking Artificial Intelligence computers so we can think even less.
The sights that are being selected for the AI complexes and solar farms are right in the middle of some very good cropland.
How wrong can we do things?

Xai took over an old Electrolux plant here in Memphis and had it up and running fast. It’s in an area that has a steel mill and fuel refinery close to the Mississippi River.

Their power requirements are so large that they have a parking lot full of natural gas generators and are ‘importing’ a power plant from Europe. They have just built a second supercomputer building close to the hood.

All so we can get Google results that are incoherent and incorrect.

Good morning men.

I had a night full of crazy dreams. I mean, crazy. I'm exhausted.
The other night I dreamed I had a saw tore down. Top end, carb, all that nicely laid out.

When I looked at the bottom end, the case halves were more like an automotive transmission pan, but no fluid or oil. Just dry brown sand. I was wondering how the sand got in there, and how it would affect the bearings, then i realized I didn't know where the crank and bearings even were.

When I woke up, it took me a while to calm down.

The room temperature has a very large influence on my dreams.
About 6~7 deg F range between mostly ok-ish sleep and vivid nightmares.
Same. I have a few recurring dreams, but one in particular:

I'm heading to work in a large office building, hoping nobody realizes I haven't actually done any work in a long time. By the time I reach my floor, either somebody else has my office, or it's been turned into a breakroom or something. I imagine this stems from latent guilt from when I was an overpaid lackey of the military industrial complex. Or maybe I shouldn't eat spicy pork rinds before bed
