Doc told me not to pick up anything heavier than a jug of milk......with my wife sitting right there. Now I'm catching hell for feeding the cows....or putting out salt, or getting a bag of dog food. Lord God.
Now's when you get the Bubba LLC working for you. When I was a kid my Dad's older brother had it down to a science. All the time I'd hear, "hey kid, come here a minute".

Bubba is my right hand man. I've always led from the front though. I'm trying hard to get my mind right on this. I appreciate you guys telling me things I might not want to hear....but that I know I need to hear.

I've been on a bit of a parts buying binge, and as a result, i get a lot of customer satisfaction surveys in my email. I almost feel bad, because these are all parts for the future. What can I say?

"The air filter certainly looks like it could filter some air."

"This piston is a definitely piston shaped. It's vaguely cylindrical, with a hole that somehow is just right for the piston pin. The circlips are pretty circular, but somehow don't inspire trust."

"I didn't actually order the chain adjuster you sent, but you guys are experts. What saw is it for? I'll look for one."
I answer all my feedbacks, customer satisfaction surveys something like this.

When you're on the injured list, everything changes. Your main job is to heal, really, to help your body heal. It's hard to back off and let somebody else do the heavy lifting, but it's necessary if you want to EVER get back to the heavy lifting.

After the surgery, your body will be building a new abdominal wall. Help it. Stay off the heavy work, eat all the protein you can find, and rest as much as your personality allows. Take the painkillers they give you. They'll make it easier to rest, and you'll know when to quit taking them. Every surgery I've had, I reach a point where the painkillers annoy me more that the pain. That's when I know I'm really healing.

You are not doing this alone!

You don't realize how much you use those muscles until after surgery. It hurts to get out of bed. Trust me when I say Take some stool softeners.

You won't be of any help to anyone if you hurt yourself again.
Got it. Making notes....."pooping like a goose is better than straining".
The pharmacist forgot to add the stool softeners to my order from the doctor. I had a book pressed to my belly and hoping I would somehow get through it without bursting. So, yeah, it's a real thing fer sure.

I also made the mistake of eating a nice meal as it had been a couple of days since I ate last, it did not mix well with whatever they gave me at the hospital and up it came, again hoping I wouldn't bursticate. Start out slow on the eats and maybe start with some broth or something easy on your system.
