Got some more bad news last night. My Dad had gone in for an endoscopy last week for what's called Barrett's esophagus, especially damage from years of reflux.
They did a biopsy and found some type or another of carcinoma. This is just one more thing piled on him and I'm not sure he's doing too well with it. He sure could use a break from this B.S.
They may start radiation which would cause our Wyoming trip to get canceled and I think that would really take a huge mental toll on him.
Adding you Dad to morning prayers.

Damn, I'm sorry to hear that. Prayers that they can find a less intrusive solution that may keep your trip intact and your dad's spirits up!

Thanks guys, I appreciate it.
He's been wanting to do this upcoming ride with us for a while now. If he can't I have a bad feeling it's just going to cause him to give up on everything with all the other issues he's already fighting.
If my opinion matters at all, I have always been a believer of Quality of Life over Quantity of Life. When my time comes I'd rather have one last big adventure than a couple of extra months languishing in bed.

Can't like this one bit. I 100% hope he gets to ride. I know how I would feel.

I too pray that your father's health will take a better turn for him, with plenty of good things to live and fight for.

I hope and wish they give him good treatment and that he recovers step by step Ed

Good morning, good soaker from yesterday to continue through today.
About 8pm last night it got real dark suddenly, wind picked up something fierce. It took my recycle and garbage dumpsters for a ride, snapped 2" diameter branches off the poplar in the front yard and launched them probably 50-60 yards from the tree. It flipped 2 chairs on the deck and somehow tossed the glass top off the table but it didnt break. Yet the super light weight solar lights my wife has scattered about barely moved around if at all. The wind had to have been over 60mph for those brief few minutes.

Calm and cool temps here, no thunder & lightning or anything past a breeze. Rain totals could be as high as 3.5" before it's all over though.
