It was shot….bigly. I replaced the bearing in the idler while we were in there. Sounds like a new engine! I thought the old girl had a cracked piston with all the clatter.

Evening gentlemen. Finally back home from our two week road trip. We left home in east TN on May 31. First major stop was Dallas/FW. We spent the morning at the stockyards and drove to Amarillo that afternoon with a quick trip to the Oklahoma boarder to add another state. From there we went to the Grand Canyon and stayed inside the park. It was later when we got there but did get up in time for a sunrise picture. Left there around lunch and made it to Huntington Beach, CA where my my wife’s brother lives. Spent the next few days with them doing the LA/Hollywood/Disney/Beach things. It definitely was out of our comfort zone, but we had fun. Left there and went to Yosemite for two days, saw the sights and drive across Tioga pass (9,900+’). From there we drove to Vegas for a cheap room, lol. Then on to Grand Junction Colorado and Wichita Kansas. Mainly just passing through and sightseeing on the way. Everything was booked in Paducah KY and Clarksville TN, but found a place in Oaksomething, KY between the two. Nastiest Hampton inn we have ever stayed and I let them know about it. I just didn’t have it in me to argue at the time. It’s near Fort Campbell and truck stops so I am not sure what I was expecting, lol. Also, with the Army’s birthday and such, there were tons of folks visiting Ft Campbell then. All in all, 14 days, 5,942 miles driven and 14 states total. We saw some amazing places, interesting people, wide open desert, farm country, and 11,000’ passes, but when it comes down to it, nothing is better than home. We were tired of living out of bags!

Well, this rain gives me an excuse not to mow, but when it stops...

Around here, it almost really got dry enough to mow

I respect your attitude, sir.
Spent 3 hours behind the mower today, if it wasn’t for the weeds growing I could have left 1/2 another week as I don’t think that grass has grown more than an inch in the last week. The other side where the septic field is probably 3-4”

Hola bishes. Hope all the fathers enjoy a great day. Had some fun trail riding at trollhaugen yesterday. They just left on the last ride of the weekend. Plan is to head south at noon. I need to go to work tomorrow so I can get some rest. Lord knows how much slacking I accomplish there.
