Picked up my second bearing at grainger on my way home today. Miter saw is back together with no extra parts. Very happy to get it running and not have to replace it.

I was on break at work when a couple of the maintenance guys got into a screaming match right next to me.
One of the girls asked me to intervene
I told her nope I'm going to enjoy my bottle of delicious 1.50 Coka-cola classic
She said are you going to help
I said would you like a coke I have more quarters
She got mad but I told her I've already got like 60 hours in this week
Those guy's are a different craft has nothing to do with me
If they were my craft and I'd have to cover their area if they got walked out

What’s your thoughts on this.

I had a friend come and ask me why her battery strimmmer started up and cutout in a few seconds.
And she said the battery was fully charged. It’s a fsa 57

I asked if she noticed any thing around the shaft ie dried grass or plastic matting shreds?

Anyway I had a look. However It was the bottom bearing seized on the geared shaft of the motor, which is sold as 1 unit for the mighty cost £85.00

The bearing is a 609 2z (c3) which is the same bearing an the top , a £3 bearing inc postage.

My thoughts is why are sthil using a 2zz metal shielded bearing when they should be using a 2rs rubber shielded bearing on the bottom ?
Obviously the motor needs an air flow which is helped with that plastic thing #4 above the spool.
I,m not sure if people are aware that stihl says that wet or damp grass should not be cut

I guess that’s there get out clause.
Anyway I replaced the 609 2zz with a 2rs. It seems to be fine at the moment

Morning / Evening All. A little grey in the sky this morning, can’t tell at the moment if cloud or smoke. We are now under a province wide fire ban and state of emergency. Late yesterday over 10,000 people were ordered to evacuate from their Northen homes do to risk if impending fire. I am thankful that most of the smoke has stayed North as it flowed east on the jet stream Apparently you can see it on satellite imagery all the way to the Atlantic already. We NEED some rain.
