460, zf5, 4x4. Rebuilt and cammed 50k ago. 215k on the odo. Pretty clean all around. Needs little bits here and there. I’m gonna make it very nice. Talked him down to $5k. Not sure on time till totaling it, but I’m getting comprehensive and collision lol.

The 460 truck engine had the timing gear set retarded by like some 6 degrees or so. A gear set for a 460 Police Special or a 429CJ engine will let it really go.

I just researched it. The EFI trucks went back to the more advanced timing. It was the “smog” 460’s that had the retarded timing.

Yep, I've worked with those kinds of customers before, doing carpentry work. Some were mildly frustrating, others were infuriating!

I've ordered all the tools I need, now I just have to keep up with the various backorders.
Tomorrow the chains will come off the tractor, and I'm going up to the gravel area to start bucking, it'll be good to hear the sound of a chainsaw again.
