Still collecting tool parcels (The time I ordered them was to get free 518 shipping....)

I don't know about over there Tor but it cost a damn fortune to piecemeal a tool set back together
It was a fraction of the price for me to buy another tool set than to replace a few stolen/misplaced tools

I usually make a list, check if kits contain some of it, or if the parts are more economical to buy the whole set.
Buying individual parts is rarely smart in terms of price, but sometimes it works best that way.

I'm starting to get close to everything, that is, it wasn't really my plan to buy as much as I have..

Good morning guys.

Yesterday while I was at my mates workshop, I could hear someone with a chainsaw, it sounded like it was a blunt saw as I could hear them pushing on it and it bogging down to get it to cut.
I said to my mate who’s that with the saw, it sounds like it’s blunt.

After an hr or so I went for a look to see who it was ?
When I walked passed all I saw was a chainsaw stuck (bar pinched) 4’ off the ground in a tree (14” dbh) that was hung up 🙄, he hadn’t cut the tree on the furthest side so it twisted and pinched the bar.
the hinge had been cut but it was still sitting on the stump. but they still couldn’t get it to roll out of the tree. I guess he was trying to stump jump it and then got it stuck.

So I went over from the path and said do you need me to cut your saw out. ? 😉
He of course said yes that would be great. 😎 as he had no other way of getting the saw out.

So I went back to my mates work shop just up the track, and said come over and have a giggle at this, I’ve got to cut this guys saw out of a tree that’s hung up

We went over and I cut the top side about a 3rd and then put a face cut in the underside, because I felt my bar being pinched, I didn’t want to look dumb as he was probably feeling
. I got the guy to hold his saw as I cut the hinge . I think the saw was a mitox although I never really looked at it, I just saw the top cover and handle.
He pulled it free as the log dropped.

As the rest of the tree was still hung up I did a bypass cut about a 3’ from the base and then kicked it to get it to snap. Now the tree was almost upright, so we pushed it over and left them to deal with the clearing up.
