I used to run those brush blades that look like a plywood blade.
Found some saw tooth setting "pliers" and I'd go around the blade and give the teeth a little bit of angle, to get a slightly wider kerf than the blade body.
Makes the blade not drag near as much.
Use a round file to sharpen them. Left or right tooth angles like a saw chain.
Delicate teeth, but made springtime underbrush cutting almost fun.
