What kind of birds?
There are a lot less Cardinals Bluejays less of all woodpeckers. Fewer nut hatches and chickadees.
Just seems like less of all. Only one that is about the same is the house finches.
Feeder that I needed to fill almost daily now last three days.

Good morning 🌞

Because of melt water I suppose and the fact it got to around 30° last night, school is delayed. I get to spend a couple hours with the grandson alone this morning ♥️. We’ll eat bacon, drink coffee and talk about monster trucks and motorcycles.

Another pretty warm day on tap. The ice and snow is largely gone but boy are things wet. My stone driveway is squishy underfoot. Have a couple of small projects today but nothing too crazy.

After tomorrow the low temps are above freezing for a while 🙂

Between the birds and squirrels I’m going through two feed scoops a day.

Good morning. 57f chasing 72.

Doc was happy with the arm, but added another BP med. 💉😒 this whole "trying not to die " thing can be a PITA sometimes.

I have half, or less, of the tree birds (titmice, cardinals, huthatches, chickadees) this year than I usually do. There seems to be as many as normal, or more, of ground birds (sparrows and juncos). West Nile was determined to have killed a group of buzzards in Franklin County (one county south of me) a couple of months ago, so I don't know if it's that or avaian flu that's hitting the songbirds.
Maybe 5 years ago we lost all the Blue Jays coming to the feeders for a couple years. Indiana called it a mysterious illness.
