Since my defarifacation the stepson and his wife have yalked me into running the half marathon in Pittsburgh. First weekend in May. I started a 16 week program. My body is not very happy right now

Since my defatifacation the stepson and his wife have talked me into running the half marathon in Pittsburgh. First weekend in May. I started a 16 week program. My body is not very happy right now

I have done a couple 1/2's but that was almost 4 decades ago... I need to do some of the defatification as well and see if my hips start working better when I do. Too much slack time over the holidays and my hamstrings have gotten so tight that any length of time sitting I have a very slow stiff start moving around. A little worried about what all the time standing next week will do to my back.

Maybe I will need a massage while away...

Back at the end of high school one my my training buddies decided he was going to compete in an Ironman Triathlon. I agreed to provide race day support and that was a long 10 hours. At the time, those really were some of the toughest athletes in the world.
