Wow @ray benson heal up man
Cutting small wood behind the church with my little Echo top handle. 3-4" branches , cutting left handed and holding up the wood with right hand. Cut into a crotch and saw kicked back cutting top of my right hand. Off to the ER, cut index finger tendon and chip out of a bone. Have to see a hand surgeon Wednesday.View attachment 476063
I'd put dibs in for some Hickory if and when you figure it out!I'm trying to think of a cost effective way to send you some firewood. I'm like 3 storms behind on bucking blowdowns.
Damnit Ray, I hate to see that, sure wish you to get a good doctor to fix you up with good use of your hand again.Cutting small wood behind the church with my little Echo top handle. 3-4" branches , cutting left handed and holding up the wood with right hand. Which is why they make rear handle versions of those little saws.Daggone, hate to see that. I know top-handle saws have their place, but they scare me because at some point I know I'll do something with them that I shouldn't.
I hope your surgery and recovery goes well!
I have log length pignut/slick bark hickory I would split and load you a pickup load, Right here in Nebraska. We have a mutual friend that wants the wood and delivered. too. Guess I will have to burn it for him right here as well. What else are good friends for.I'd put dibs in for some Hickory if and when you figure it out!![]()

I'm hoping for a full recovery for you.Good morning. Hand pain not bad, till the cat jumped on it this morning wanting food. Icing it takes away the throbbing.
I can't believe that you, the manual guy, didn't see where it tells you not to do that!GWS Ray

We're at 29 degrees right now, supposedly a couple more inches of snow on top of the 3 we already got and then it's supposed to turn to rain, and then freeze. We are trying very hard not to go anywhere today. And mom wonders why I think I need a 4x4 pickup.
Yep.Any man that drives needs a 4x4, at least occasionally.![]()
