Funny you mention that because I keep all pill bottles and glass spaghetti sauce jars for parts, screws etc. lmao its all coming together now.

I keep a large pill bottle in the spice rack, filled with brown sugar for my coffee.
Bit shy of half a half teaspoon in a mug, so the bottle actually lasts a while between refills
Easier than digging out the whole darn bag every time.

Yesterday was along day “fishing” and it was a good day
This 40” conga eel got in my prawn net

These mackerel showed up just before sundown.
And then the squid turned up . I think I got 24 in 2hrs

I would agree with you, althou I,m not really sure of both sides and can’t figure out what the third side could be.
Anyway it’s a shame how it’s all turned out imho.

No one has baby food jars with the lids nailed to a board above the bench? Have to find the ones my grandfather had when I got the bench from his garage.

I have grandad's collection of baby food jars from the 60's and 70's full of McCulloch, Mercury-Disston, Tecumseh, and Tillotson hardware. He was pretty ingenious with organizing and labeling small parts. I've seen others use small glass jars with the lids nailed to the underneath of a shelf. Grandad used an old wine rack rack for his various drills, planes, scallops, and shaping irons.

My 234 SG is starting to be finished, still need to find an muffler, bracket, the only thing I'm missing now is the original air filter.
And, I need to buy some different decals from SC Supply.

As a 3-series enthusiast, I have huge respect for anyone with the fortitude to restore a 2-series saw.

As a 3-series enthusiast, I have huge respect for anyone with the fortitude to restore a 2-series saw.

She is from 1983, week 00.
She is for the collection of 133, 234, 238, 242, 246. Didn't have a 234 before this one, and she came as a very nice bottom part with tank. So I was missing most of it really, c&p + clutch cover & handle I bought from Magnus Sweden, top cover I had.
Then I had some parts lying around, like bearings, sealing rings and gaskets without one though, muffler bolts hoses and AV various I bought from Husqvarna.
I bought a parts saw with carburetor last week, but the start cover didnt turn out well after a wash.

I think the 234 had a slightly unique choke rod, black 238 will fit, but I'm obviously hoping to find an original one.
Now we are almost there that I need a starter decal and air filter to have her complete.

133/234 is meh, 238 is the one that seems to have a lot more pomp, I can see with the low top cover why they were popular in their time.

I have no interest in the 5xx series, I have built quite a few but I dislike the bottom part of them, and I have never liked the length of the power head.

But ergonomically in the hands they are quite good, bought 540 xp mk3 this summer and in a few months I hope 564 xpg will come into my hands. Ordered it when it was launched. She takes over for 254, 262, 560 and 372 for me.

In pure pruning and most of the house firewood it will always be 242 and 346 that are my favorites
