Air Quality Alert issued August 11 at 8:48PM CDT by NWS Green Bay WI

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has issued an Air Quality Advisory for the following counties: Brown, Door, Florence, Forest, Kewaunee, Langlade, Lincoln, Marathon, Marinette, Menominee, Oconto, Oneida, Outagamie, Portage, Shawano, Vilas, Waupaca, Waushara, and Wood.

WHAT...The PM2.5 AQI is expected to reach the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups (Orange) to Unhealthy (Red) level.

WHERE...Northern Wisconsin and west-central Wisconsin.

WHEN...Until 3 PM Tuesday.

Precautionary/Preparedness Actions: Sensitive groups: Make outdoor activities shorter and less intense. It is OK to be active outdoors but take more breaks.

Watch for symptoms such as coughing or shortness of breath.

People with asthma: Follow your asthma action plan and keep quick relief medicine handy.

People with heart disease: Symptoms such as palpitations, shortness of breath, or unusual fatigue may indicate a serious problem. If you have any of these, contact your health care provider.

Additional Details: Canadian wildfire smoke will impact surface air quality as it moves ENE across northern portions of the state through early Tuesday afternoon. The heaviest smoke impacts are expected in far northwest Wisconsin, where PM2.5 NowCast AQI values of Unhealthy (Red) will be possible. Lesser impacts in the Moderate (Yellow) to Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups (Orange) AQI range are expected further south and east in the advisory area.

A cold front moving in from the northwest on Tuesday morning will begin to clear this initial round of smoke from northwest to southeast. Although more smoke could move in behind the front, we do not expect advisory criteria to be met with the second round of smoke at this time.

I've had a rather enjoyable day at work
We have/had this program where for
.31 cents more per hour you too could be a supervisor in training
Well this one gal took it and said I'm going to make you guy's do work I would never do.
It didn't go over to well her screaming at everybody
She screamed at me twice I made her cry twice with my eloquent responses.
I had 5 grievances against her for mandating me in my last hour
Each one's a get out of jail free card you can use leave early or come in late.
She racked up several dozen grievances over a month
My friend had 9 against her for screaming at him.
Today they forced her back to her bid job with us lowlife's and completely eliminated that position in the company
I like to think in some small way I helped
If you treat me good I'll treat you good.

Saw a nice hen of the woods on a white oak driving to town yesterday. Unfortunately it was about 30 feet in the air growing out of a pruning wound.

had one of those a few weeks ago, camped out under a snow shovel leaning against the back of my garage. picked her up to move her and there were three chicks under her lol. came back the next day and there was another. first time ive had chickens that werent born in the matrix. pretty cool

Mornin' my friend was telling me about her first date with a guy
They went to his place to watch movies or whatever
When they set on the couch he started rummaging around in the couch cushions
Pretty aggressively i guess
So she naturally reached in her purse for her

And was pulling it out it was still in the holster
At the same time he said found it and held up the remote
And said wtf to her having a pistol in her hand
She said I didn't know what you were doing.
So you pulled a gun on me he said
And she said of course I always bring protection.
They're going on a second date friday.

Speaking of Girl Scouts, the GS of Canada have banned all foreign travel right now. There is concern that traveling as a group with multiple nationalities is riskier than ever before and will not be attending any Jamborees outside of Canada.
