The advantage of the 10 liter must be that you get more parts in it, while the 4.5l will be for more rounds...
I might prefer to buy the 10 liter even though it is significantly more expensive.

I'm sitting here wondering if I need to buy an ultrasonic cleaner, mainly for cranks, cylinders, pistons, carburetors, boots, flywheel, generator, etc
I wash the rest as I always have.

4.5 liter, as long as it takes 357, 550, 560 cylinders....... I'd hate to buy one that doesn't take these types of cylinders lol

What's the smallest you guys use?

Like Randy I have a big washer that an entire taken apart saw can fit into, as well as a small one on my workbench just for carburetors.

+ that I have enough space for a cylinder, crank, and a few other parts in it.

No. too big isn't necessarily better, as you have all that extra to heat up and if you use a ratio of degreaser with the water cost more to fill.
I put folded up old bath towels on the lid of mine, it helps to insulate and keep the heat in. Otherwise, just plop your parts in and turn it on, pretty easy. Also, if you run cylinders through a few cycles, it will de-carbon them to look nearly like new.

When we were finishing up the baling on Doyle's fields, my 2640 developed a bad hydraulic leak. It was on the pressure valve that runs the loader, and the rear remotes. When we took it apart yesterday, we found a bad oring someone had reinstalled. That meant a trip to Crossville to the John Deere dealer for a $4.60 part. Standard sized orings ain't what Deere uses of course. Got back, fixed that leak, poured in $120.00 in hydraulic fluid, fired it up to discover another leak. Someone had used a poorly made paper gasket between the brake pedal assembly and the case, which decided to fail when we needed to be hauling hay. Jonathon made a proper gasket for it, and we got it going finally.

Get some cows they said. It'll be fun they said. LOL
