Happy Sunday fellas
Bad connections will also cause voltage drop, which will increase amperage. P=IxECheck the grounds. High resistance in a ground can lead to excessive Amp draw.
Could also be the motors themselves drawing too much. Any chance you have an Amp clamp in your tool arsenal?
I’ve bought the last 3 or 4 batteries at Costco, they seem to last well. That was the plan. Needed to go to Costco anyway.
And happy belated b-day OLD man, and I'll throw in a GFY for gooder measure
That's that vstar he's making it into a bobberThe street bike with the spoke wire wheel and the front forks not connected.
Amp clamp? I'll be looking into that.
Ed was correct as usual. Passenger side fan is fubared. I just disconnected it for now.
Way to screw up a good argument with the facts...Ummm! That's a Toyota.
For you hopefullyI'm currently waiting for my brother in law to pick me up so we can drive 3 hours to look at a 68 Chev C10 with a 6.0 and a Muncie 4spd.
This should be interesting.

As I said, why drag facts into thisI
Isn't that what you have Michael, a Toyota?
Around here, Exide batteries from Home Depot seem to be the best option for price and qualityI’ve bought the last 3 or 4 batteries at Costco, they seem to last well.
Do you guys use block heaters or battery mats or any other cold weather starting mods?I’ve started pre-emptively replacing then heading in to their 5th winter. Too many times I’ve busted knuckles at 20below.
As long as you don't mind when the time comes and you're walking, carry on and get all the goodie out of it you can. While not a car battery, I had a OEM Yussa in a Yamaha still going strong when I sold it, that was 14 years old.
From day one after acquiring those 4 cylinders, if the bike was going to sit for more than a week or 2, a 1A desulfator / maintainer was turned on.
I'm currently at 17 yrs on a starting boat battery doing the same routine, but that desulfator is 1.5A.

HD here doesn’t carry any automotive. Exide batteries are only available from speciality dealers and seem to cost a fortune.Do you guys use block heaters or battery mats or any other cold weather starting mods?
