Good info there, I made notes. Thanks for taking the time to reply. The stuff I used on the house is made by Sashco, it is very good but also very expensive. It’s a real oil base product that you need thinner for cleanup.
The stuff I’m using on the deck is just Behr from Home Depot. I stripped the deck but couldn’t get enough of the old finish off to feel confident that a real oil base product would stay on over top of it. So I spoke with the people that we bought the house from and went with what they used in a different color.
My buddy that I got the stripper from says that you have to get the PH right in the wood for stain to adhere properly. Oxalic acid is what he told me to use after cleaning the wood. Spray it on let it dry then rinse.
The original stain on the deck actually stayed on pretty good so I have high hopes.

Retirement sounds great Dan !!!!!Hello Randy. Things are pretty hectic around here. Really looking forward to retirement more with every day!
I am on blood pressure meds as well. I don't even know I am on it but surely do when I haven't taken it. I have lost 55 lbs. since January 15 and feel better every day. Staying more active too and that helps with all kinds of things.Retirement sounds great Dan !!!!!
I woke up this morning with a really bad headache. Checked my blood pressure and it was 156 over 89. Figured maybe quitting the BP meds might have been a bad idea. They were causing my feet and ankles to swell and hurt like hell. Ain't felt real sporty all day. I've got an appointment with my family doc tomorrow afternoon.
Me too brother. Hopefully the end of March I can at least semi retire. My social security won't be enough to pay the bills.Hello Randy. Things are pretty hectic around here. Really looking forward to retirement more with every day!
Those aren’t good numbers. Need to find the right meds that don’t cause you other issues.Retirement sounds great Dan !!!!!

I figure you guys might never get away with it there......but when I installed my field lines, I ran the last section out in the woods till the gravel bed was flush with the ground. If it gets saturated, it can drain out there.
How's Mike today?Good evening fellas
