We started our day at 0c and may hit 7c. Yes, I used the metric as is what world does 32 make more sense than 0 to define the same thing?
The zero sounds great until you have to divide by it. 180 degrees between freezing and boiling makes lots of sense. Metric is almost always the wrong size for measurements. 1.85 meters, 185 centimeters, either too big, or too small. 6 foot 1 inch is easy.

100 degrees between freezing and boiling makes a lot of sense too, Measurements is actually where metric really starts to shine, why use two different units of measure to define the total? 6 ft 1 inch is incredibly more complex, to say or to calculate with. Measuring mm is much simpler than fractions, everyone hates doing math with different denominators.

I know we won’t agree and what you are used to is what you will prefer. I’m lucky I grew up as Canada was converting I can operate equally well in either but for many things Metric is clearly superior.

What about MILS or MOA?

100 degrees between boiling and freezing makes zero sense at all when boiling and freezing change infinitely with pressure and elevation. The reference points make no sense, therefore, Celsius is stupid. That's why they tried to adopt Kelvin. The reference points for Fahrenheit are not freezing and boiling.

Standard units have more arbitrary numbers, get used to it, arbitrary numbers are everywhere in science. Who decided the charge of an electron was -1.6x10^-19 Coulombs? Why is a mole 6.022×10^23? The natural world doesn't work in multiples of 10. What difference is it if the units do?
Metric is clearly superior.
Don't kid yourself.

Zero C is frozen.
Negative 2C is even more freezing.

It's pretty simple. Perhaps that's why you don't like it.

Yaso, we had our daughters end of year school prize giving today, and there were some pretty good musical performances.
Not, however, anywhere the standard of this group from @markds2 island.
All hope is not lost if school kids are banging this stuff out.

I do agree that metric has its place. Where imperial shines is in common use. The relationships between fluid measurements is much easier. Teaspoons, tablespoons, cups, pints, quarts, gallons. Liters per 100 km's is one of the most retarded ways of measuring anything. Do you guys put liter consumption gauges in your cars. My odometer and calibrated fuel pump is all I need to get accurate mileage readings. Science stuff is ok. Daily, not so much.

Morning measurement nerds and position experts, have we come to any conclusions? What say we all use what works and be done with it. Them dummies out in the cold taking down our old reliable gantry crane just realized the footprint for the new 100t unit is 2" wider that the old one. It won't run on the tracks that are cemented in the slab. Guess they shoulda talked about " measurements " before building that one eh?
An engineer would climb over a mountain of virgins to fukk an electrician...😱 Hope y'all's day goes better than mine will.

Morning / Evening All!! December 7th and we are starting the day at 3/37 headed up from there. Won’t break any records as they were set much higher back in 1939, the last time we weren’t snow packed was 1997 and it was my son’s first winter and I only remember trying to keep it together as a parent with a red headed partner…
