Thanks for clearing that up comrade Dzhozef.
There just isn't a great SAE unit for energy. The technical SAE unit is foot pounds, which is also used for torque, and its great for torque, and technically torque is energy, but energy is not necessarily torque. There is BTU, but I'm not a fan. There is also the outdated horsepower hour, and recently, the gasoline gallon equivalent but that is sort of specific to alternative fuels.

Meanwhile, the SI system has Joules.
Watt is the SI unit for power, but Watt-Hour isn't recognized as an SI unit. Calories and electronvolts are also neither SI or SAE.

TL;DR: I'm not a fan of the BTU or Joule.
As someone who used to toss piss jugs, you would think you would be for autonomous vehicles. The way the asshats driving now only spend 3 percent of their time looking out the windshield, I would feel way more comfortable with a computer paying attention 100% of the time. I am against mandating autonomous though. Some of us will never trust the people who would control, or govern it's implementation. Holey crap it is dangerous out there.
The thing I don't like is the artificial intelligence, and I don't like the possibility of tracking and controlling where you are going. Of course, a lot of cars can already track where you are going, but its just a further invasion of privacy. I think driver assistance technologies like collision avoidance, lane keep assistance and emergency braking are great but I don't like the idea of full autonomy.

🤣 I'd have told him GFY, I'll call a store that isn't run by commies. Grandpa Buick has 11.9 inch rotors.

Yet you carry an Orwellian device with you 24/7. You are tracked constantly, cameras at Wally world have facial recognition abilities and there are cameras on poles every mile along the highway. Following our every move. We live in a surveillance state not unlike communist china, or Canada. Lol.

All I read was: Commie metrics are some times better, and I'll use decimals if it suits me too.

Ima dine on this for weeks.

I had seen that and it looks like Ms Potts 3rd grade class made a futuristic sci fi movie and created a mars rover out of cardboard and tin foil
I heard Elon designed it himself.
One caliper slide bolt was frozen. I busted that fugher off. Going to get a new caliper bracket now. Nothing can be easy
I'd move.

Oh I'm certainly aware of the surveillance state we live in. But just because everything else is already watching us, doesn't mean cars should too.

It's like the episode of Corner Gas where they talk about everything in Canada being Commie-Metric until you ask someone how tall they are and they always answer in feet and inches

We KNOW you guys WANT to use Non-Commie units of measurement but you are too afraid of reprisals from your gummint

Excuse me for a minute, I need to cut a piece of Post-It note and cover the camera on my new computer before I get back to looking at pictures of pussys kittens on the interwebs
