There just isn't a great SAE unit for energy. The technical SAE unit is foot pounds, which is also used for torque, and its great for torque, and technically torque is energy, but energy is not necessarily torque. There is BTU, but I'm not a fan. There is also the outdated horsepower hour, and recently, the gasoline gallon equivalent but that is sort of specific to alternative fuels.
Meanwhile, the SI system has Joules.
Watt is the SI unit for power, but Watt-Hour isn't recognized as an SI unit. Calories and electronvolts are also neither SI or SAE.
TL;DR: I'm not a fan of the BTU or Joule.
The thing I don't like is the artificial intelligence, and I don't like the possibility of tracking and controlling where you are going. Of course, a lot of cars can already track where you are going, but its just a further invasion of privacy. I think driver assistance technologies like collision avoidance, lane keep assistance and emergency braking are great but I don't like the idea of full autonomy.
