Thank you. He isn't in ICU anymore, but he wasn't doing well at all last night. Looks like he has a lot of different things going on. His right leg is red and swollen, might be a blood clot. He has fluid build up around his heart. He has a bad cough too.

We got a case of Ensure to keep in his room for his caregivers to give him. The hospital is out of it they said...and he needs a doctor's order to have them give it to him anyhow. Jeremiah has had the same caregivers for years now, and they really take good care of him....but in some ways their hands are tied by red tape and insurance companies.

It sounds like his caregivers do care. The crap with the dr's and insurance companies is wrong! They call it practicing medicine. And we are just dollar signs to the insurance company.
