Cant argue with that.
Dad had a 67 D100 that was originally bought by Standard oil company.
No fancy anything.
Had a heater, so that was nice...
Other than that, it was a 225 slant six, 3 speed manual, long wheel base.
Also baby chit yellow in color.
Loved that thing. All my childhood memories involved us camping, fishing, hunting, etc in that truck.
Doesnt REALLY matter who made it, as long as it gets you where you NEED to be.
That's makes me laugh pretty hard. Back in 1994 when I got married, wife totaled 3 cars just inside 4 months.
She blamed me for keeping her up late at night bumpin uglies. I was like well damn women I am not wrecking anything on the way to work. Must be you.
Anyways I needed to find her something to drive. I found a little old lady, one owner, 1967 fury, slant 6, 3 on the tree car, 37,000 miles. Red with calf crap brown interior. I handed her the keys and said wreck this chit dear.
Oh she hated that car. No radio, vinyl seats, rubber floor mat, manual on the column. She drove it a week and she was like GFY Matthew, I'm taking your black 1973 dodge truck, or I am quitting work.
Next week she took my black 1973 power wagon to work.
I chit you not, Friday afternoon, Todd & I are unloading tools in my garage, we hear a big crash boom bang, here comes my black dodge, and new red Honda following it.... dude jumps out, Mama you just hit my car and you did not even stop.....
Wife well you should not of been in my blind spot, this truck is huge.
Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
