I'm buying a mini split unit by next winterAll we had in the house last year was an undersized propane furnace and a gas fireplace (ripped through propane like you wouldn't believe). We froze our asses off all winter. This place was a summer home so heat and insulation weren't a priority. I added a bunch of insulation throughout last winter and more this year. Over the summer I installed a high efficiency furnace and a wood stove right next to it. Much better now. Lol
I'll get it insulated throughout the summer. Trying to decide how I want to finish the walls.I'd be even more excited about insulation
Could you please just this one time tell us how you really feel???
My buddy put a couple of those in and really likes them. I have an A coil in the plenum for cooling, works great but not as efficient as the newer stuff.I'm buying a mini split unit by next winter
My friends electric bill was 50-60.00
Lucas beardfart banned me from his saw pages on the FBthats actually me. lol. after one of the numerous times he got banned, he had a profile named frank rizzo. FWANK was born that day
He installed 3 but only needed one we built his house out of insulated metal panelsMy buddy put a couple of those in and really likes them. I have an A coil in the plenum for cooling, works great but not as efficient as the newer stuff.
I used insulated panels on the shop ceiling. May use them on the walls also they're super easy to install. He installed 3 but only needed one we built hid house out of insulated metal panels
Extremely energy efficient.

I’m always amazed at the different codes in different regions. We are R24 walls and R50 attic. Many I talk to in other markets aren’t even close.Good insulation pays for itself. The cheapest energy is the energy you don't use.
Damn sure aint boring.Stairs and rafters were what kept me from getting bored with framing.
Yeah. Much lower R value requirements down here.I’m always amazed at the different codes in different regions. We are R24 walls and R50 attic. Many I talk to in other markets aren’t even close.

Then again, it rarely goes below freezing, and doesnt stay for long if it does.
We probably have higher hurricane ratings than you though.
Cant forget about the JTF rating. Thats a MAJOR factor.
Jersey tornadoes are FUGGIN SERIOUS apparently...
So are burned out tail lights, leaking seals on forklifts, lost cell phones, all of this in the midst of a jersey ice storm.....
Normal people could not make this sheet up, even on their best day.

Ain't no better heat.
I missed that tidbit, the first time I read that BS post.
