I've been in a turkey coma for a few hours.
I actually did not consume turkey this year.

Dad did a Boston butt on the smoker, and a pan of chicken leg quarters "beer can style" in the oven.

Yes, there was dressing and Cranberry sauce, and green beans.
My personal favorite was the cornbread salad.

It's amazing.

Crumbled cornbread, mixed with mayo/ranch dressing dry mix/sour cream, and stirred together with onion/green bell pepper/whole kernel corn/pinto beans(woulda used black beans personally)/shredded cheese of your choice.

Dessert was homemade pecan and pumpkin pies. He even grew the pumpkin himself, and the neighbor made the pecan pie from pecans they picked up.

He also did a "mystery pie" that turned out to be an old recipe he found for a "pinto bean pie". Had shredded coconut with sweetend mashed pinto beans as the filler.
Surprisingly good with some strawberry ice cream.

Can say this about my dad, hes always learning things. Good or bad, hes always got something different going on.

Happy turkey sammiches day everyone. Best part of Thanksgiving, is the day after Thanksgiving. Round two starts today.

You all watch your calorie counters, don't burn them up by going too fast.

Awesome that you had all that different stuffs to eat. Sounds like you had a good time. I'd give up any possession to have dinner with my parents one more time.

Did you have a chance to mess with your rifle?

Yeah. Spring tension didn't do anything to help.
I took some pliers and actually widened the sheet metal box. That seems to be working.
Maybe I pinched it in the last time I had disassembled it? Who knows!
