The rear end was roaring....we are replacing it. Was 3.73 gears, 10" drum brakes, and 5 lug axles.

We couldn't find a rear end that was the "right" one with 5 lug axles, just 6 lug. They all had 9" brakes too. So....we pulled our brakes and axles out and swapped. Replaced the axle seals too. Pinion yoke was different too. This rear end is from a 4wd...so bigger u joint. Changed the u joints and used a "bastard" joint in the rear. Replaced the rear seal in the transmission too. Yeah....was a fun little deal.

As for that 1980s rake......not really. Just installed a set of skinny wheels on the front. After this rear end swap, I'll order the back wheels an tires. Fat.....that's what's going there. Next up, 2" drop spindles in front, 3" drop at the back....

Lowered truck, fat tires, big brakes. Sounds like a hog hauler................

Good morning guys. Hope everyone has a great holiday. Anyone ever brine their turkey? Trying it for the first time this year.

That’s what my sister does and it is very good and moist [emoji106]

No comments please, it’s a holiday

Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate.
Off to mom and dads to help dad with the cooking.
Uncle from Texas came back out for a few days, so it'll be fun getting to see him again.

Y'all dont eat too much.

No worries about pulling it too hard, as you'll be too stuffed to reach it...;).

I have noo idea what happens to the turkey before I eat it. I am not allowed in the kitchen to have anything to do with the meal. Always tastes good though. I do always offer to help, but it is never accepted. So to answer your question, maybe?

I really love the sandwiches after the best!

Yes, the day after hot turkey sammichs are the best thing about Thanksgiving.
