Mornin' peeps and perps...42 to 65.

Sho am glad I ain't got no grillin' or smokin' duties assigned this year...ain't gotta do a damn thing except bring an appetite to the gal's Turkey Day shindig with her folks. I'm gonna give 'em forewarning and tell 'em all to get in front of me in line and pile it on, you may not see any seconds.

Have you ever had any issues with the internal box mag on your Remington long range?
My .300WM suddenly started not holding the rounds. Load 3 in, close the bolt and as the top cartridge slides forward the next one down pops up, lifting the top one and then causing it to hit the receiver and denting the case.
I've had that pos sheet metal box out and tweaked on it repeatedly with no good results.
I'm thinking of just converting it to a detachable box mag.

Not a gunsmith by any means. Armchair one at best. Sounds like the follower.
I’ve had problems with them before. You can try stretching the follower spring.
For a little more up pressure.

Good morning fellas.

Morning Dan.
Have you been buying any saws lately or in slacker of the north mode?
I want to stop over by "high price Bob" and snag a couple Stihl clutch covers and see if he has any MS460 bits left.
I also want to laugh at the $1000 051av he now dropped to $800..

I was more thinking it was an issue with the sheet metal box and didn't give spring pressure much thought. I'll give that a whirl. Thanks Howard.

I've never had any issues feed-wise with any of my internal mag 700 BDL's regardless of caliber but mine are all mid-70's to early 80's mfg'd guns. I've seen this done before and as Howard said, stretch the follower spring a little bit and see if that doesn't remedy it.

Last two weeks I lived in WI, it never got over zero, it was between -8 and -38 for almost two weeks straight, I moved out here, it was in the 40's during the day, I was running around in a t-shirt sweating, people at work thought something was wrong with me....they all had winter coats on, like it was below zero out.
My Dad worked on the Alaska pipeline. He said the temperature would be in the teens, sunny, no wind, no humidity, and the locals are walking around in T-shirts, or at least long sleeves with no coats. He said it never would have made sense to him if he weren't there to witness it. But yeah, -8 to -38 is a different story. He also said the cold there could kill you in short order if you weren't prepared.

Building not completely open yet. There are some people staying here on the 4th and 5th floors. 2 homeless guys out front this morning starting to fight with each other. Cops have been here once today already.
Are u sure those homeless guys aren’t hipsters? Lol

Thinking about growing a man bun so I fit in with all you hipsters better.
I think the manbun is a different breed, IMO There’s 2 types of hipsters, the scrawny 130lb lumberjack wannabes with beards and nerd glasses or there’s the homeless looking ones lol
