Was out walking this morning and Thea’s demeanour suddenly changed, tail tucked and slowed her pace, I scanned around and the headlamp picked up a pair of eyeballs in the field. They didn’t react when hit by the light, didn’t move when I shouted. Not a coyote as it would have answered back or taken off, I’m thinking it was likely a skunk, not worried about it charging at us but also didn’t want to be between where it was and where it wanted to be…

Checked the field where I saw the eyes on the way to work and they weren't easy to find but there were some sizable paw indentations that weren't tractor tire tracks.
