If you wait for the weather to be perfect, you might never get it done.

I'm fixing to go tedder 25 acres this morning.
I already have plenty of rounds from last season. I like squares better, I can waste a cutting and still have more than I need. The grass really filled in by waiting and is really thick. Won't dry without good weather. I hear you though, there are a couple of rainy days forecast for this week, then it looks like a dry spell.

How many bales a year do you need usually? I know a lot more than I do. I think it takes 5-6 goats to equal 1 cow hay wise. So that puts me a 5 to 6 head, if they were cows.

I was going to procrastinate today, but I am putting it off until tomorrow.

I fed 275 round bales last winter. It was a tough season. Too many cows on poor pasture. Had to start feeding early, and fed late into the spring. I adjusted the herd size.....

Have you been taking them to auction? Processing has been hard to come by around here. Took a year to get an appointment for the last one. I have another for October. We had one go belly up when there refrigeration unit died with 30 cows hanging. Lost all the beef and didn't have enough insurance. Customers got screwed.

Neighbor has too many and will probably have to bring some to auction.

I took 16 head to the sale barn in Crossville. They brought a good price too.

Yep. Gonna have two vee rakes, and two balers baling.
I have an M&W hs6, a new Holland 56 bar rake and a NH268 hayliner. You big time operators have all the stuff.

Oh, I have a Detroit harvester 6' sickle mower on the TO-20. I only have 21 acres, so it is enough. The Deutz handles the disc and baler.
